Rates listed are for independent authors. I understand independent authors are in a unique situation, and my focus is on building relationships and assisting authors with self-publishing their manuscripts.

EDITOR SERVICES

Editing is $.014 per word. For example, if your manuscript is 70,000 words, your total would be $980 (70,000 x .014).

Proofreading is $.0084 per word. For example, if your manuscript is 70,000 words, your total would be $588 (70,000 x .0084).

Website content editing starts at $65+. Please contact me for more details.

Editing services might be subject to an additional rush fee if turnaround time is less than one week.

INTERIOR DESIGN SERVICES

Formatting rate (including special fonts and 1 symbol for use as a separator) for ePub, mobi, and PDF is $185. For manuscripts I’ve edited or proofread, the rate is reduced to $165.

Simple formatting rate (does not include special fonts for headings or symbols) is $110. For current editing clients, the rate is reduced to $90.

Two updates (up to ten text changes each round) to the formatted manuscript are included. An additional $50 will be charged if errors exceed ten changes per update.

If changing the trim size of the paperback or requesting revision to the design after formatting has been completed, then an additional fee of at least half of the original formatting price will be charged, depending on the amount of rework needed.

Formatting services might be subject to an additional $50 rush fee if turnaround time is less than a week.

WRITING SERVICE

Synopsis writing rate is $95. This includes three rounds of revisions and FREE review of your cover before publishing.

DEPOSIT

A nonrefundable $75 deposit per service along with a signed contract are required to hold your manuscript in the schedule. When you turn over the manuscript to me, an invoice will be sent for the total amount, minus the deposit paid for the service to be performed at that time. At least half of the total amount is due upon receipt of the invoice, and the remainder of the payment is due before the completed work will be returned to you.
